THANK YOU to PTA and all the families who donated TRAVELIN' TOM's coffee to our teachers. The drinks were enjoyed and much appreciated! Last week was Parent-Teacher Conferences. Our teachers enjoyed having the opportunity to meet with many of our families to discuss your child's academic progress thus far this year. If you were unable to attend your child's conference please reach out to you child's teacher or the office to reschedule a meeting.

Thank you to all our families, community members, and staff for supporting our HAWKWART CARNIVAL. Everyone enjoyed a fun night of food, games, and time with family and friends. I also want to give a HUGE shout out to our PTA for all the time, dedication and hard work they put into to making the carnival a big success!

Attending school everyday is crucial for our students to contribute to both their academic success and personal development! Here are a few important facts highlighting the importance of consistent school attendance:

• Regular attendance ensures that your child will keep up with daily lessons, assignments and activities which are essential for mastering new concept. Missing school could lead to gaps in understanding, making it harder to catch up.
• Students feel more connected to their peers and teachers, which contributes to their emotional and mental health.
• Teaches students responsibility and the importance of discipline. These are essential life skills that will benefit them in their future careers.

This Tuesday we will be having our AR Donut Celebration for students who have made their AR goal for the 1st Quarter. Below are the Tatarian AR GUIDELINES:

• Test are to be only taken at school
• Kindergarten - 1st grade can not look at the book (the books are usually short and they are working on comprehension skills)
• Grades 1-6 can refer to the chapter books as they are focusing on looking for evidence
• Quizzes are not to be deleted

Just a reminder AR is an incentive program designed to encourage students to enjoy reading and IS NOT tied to a grade

On October 3rd many of our families participated on our FAMILY BOOK CLUB presented by Success Together! Students and their families enjoyed reading the book LUCIA the LUCHADORA (they also received a copy to take home), making a mask, and eating pizza! Please join us on November 7 for another FAMILY BOOK CLUB. See below for more information!

The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a tool for Fresno Unified School District to set goals, plan actions, and leverage resources to meet the goal to improve student outcomes. In developing the LCAP, FUSD needs Tatarian's families' input on what you feel are the most important needs our school and district should to think about in order to support ALL students.
