Celebrating Transitions & Community Success
Congratulations to Our Early Graduates! We want to extend a huge congratulations to our early grads who have officially finished their high school requirements. We are excited to see where your next chapters lead you!
PC Night Out: This year's PC Night Out was a phenomenal success. It was a wonderful evening spent celebrating a great school year with our community. Best of all, the event raised vital funds that will go directly back into our classrooms to support our students and teachers next year.
Making a Difference & Creative Talents
Riley Dance Marathon: Our students showed their massive hearts this month! The Riley Dance Marathon was a huge success, raising an incredible $23,000+ for Riley Children's Hospital. Thank you to everyone who danced, donated, and supported this life-saving cause.
PC Broadcasting: Our broadcasting team continues to shine in the spotlight. Their latest film was officially entered and featured in the Va Bene Film Challenge. Congratulations to our student filmmakers on this wonderful showcase of their skills!
Championship Achievements
Our students continue to prove they are among the best of the best in both trades and athletics:
Vocational Welding Wins Big: A massive congratulations to the PC Vocational Welding team! They took home 1st Place at the prestigious Midwest Team Tournament, showcasing elite craftsmanship and teamwork.
Grant Boyd Breaks More Records: Just one month after setting the school pole vault record, Grant Boyd completely dominated the Pocket Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships. Grant was crowned PAC Champion in both Pole Vault and Long Jump, breaking his own school records in both events with a breathtaking 15'6" pole vault and a 22'1.5" long jump!
Thank you to all of our students, staff, parents, and community members for making this school year one to remember. Have a safe, fun, and relaxing summer break! Have a Great Summer!

Mrs. Hunt's Animal Science
Mrs. Huntโs Animal Science class has been diving into the dairy and beef industriesโand recently took learning beyond the classroom! Students spent the day touring Obert Dairy Farm in Ft. Branch and Sand Ridge Beef Farm in Princeton. They had the opportunity to see firsthand the similarities and differences in how cattle are raised in each operation. From equipment and feeding practices to housing, production phases, and end goals, students were able to connect what theyโve been learning in class to real-world applications. A great day of hands-on learning and industry insight!
๐ฅ PC Broadcasting
Congratulations to the PC Broadcasting team and Mrs. Bohnert. Their short film was one of six that were chosen and featured at the Astra Theatre this past Friday as part of the Va Bene film challenge. It was an amazing experience for the students and all who attended. Check out their film below!

Another successful Riley Dance Marathon! Our students raised over $23,000 for Riley Children's Hospital. Outstanding job everyone!

Construction Trades
Big thank you to Mr. Howaldโs Pike Central High School Class for making this wooden sign for us with our Mi Patio Mexican Cuisine logo!
๐ Seniors
It may have felt like Senior Skip Day at Pike Central today, but we want to give a special shoutout to the seniors who showed up! Mr. Couchenour treated those dedicated students to lunch at Mi Patio as a way to say thank you for their commitment!
๐ค Animal Science
Check out the baby chicks that were hatched at PCHS and will be staying for a few weeks! The kids love having them there.
Mrs. Hunt brought in a few visitors today. Students got the chance to learn the difference between a broiler and a layer. The broiler was actually a Cornish Cross. These chickens were both the same age. Any guesses on which is raised for meat?
๐ง๐ Retirements
Join us in congratulating Max Deputy on his retirement! After 8 years of service as our Maintenance Supervisor, Max is wrapping up his chapter at Pike Central High School. His hard work and behind-the-scenes leadership have helped keep our buildings running smoothly!
Two of our High School English Teachers have also decided to retire. Mrs. Beth Bohnert and Mrs. Marcia Mishler! These two will be very difficult to replace and have left such a legacy at Pike Central High School. You both will be greatly missed!
Thank you, Max, Beth, & Marcia! Wishing you all the best in this next chapter!
