Greetings SHES Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We hope you all have had a wonderful summer! We are so excited to get this school year started-we have missed all of our Thunderbolts.
I want to extend an invitation to all our SHES families to attend our first PTO meeting of the school year on Tuesday, August 6th. Our meeting will be held in our SHES library and will start at 6:30pm. We would love to see some new faces to help us organize and coordinate all the fun PTO events that we have planned for this school year. Please consider joining our SHES PTO!
We can't wait to see our Thunderbolts for Sneak Peek next week. See the flyer below for more information. PTO has organized to have a couple food trucks for both of these evenings and a portion of the proceeds goes directly to SHES PTO.

A Note from our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Katie Clay
Hello, Thunderbolts! My name is Mrs. Katie Clay and I am thrilled to begin serving the SHES community as your assistant principal. I have had the privilege of meeting many of you over the past couple of months. I am excited to kick off the 2024-25 school year and to continue getting to know our students and their families!
I am entering my ninth year in the Shawnee Heights district having served at both Tecumseh North and Berryton prior to SHES. A core-value of our district that is perhaps the most important to me is that we teach to the whole-child and prioritize social and emotional learning. I look forward to continuing to make this a priority, guiding our students in developing those critical skills that they need to be model citizens and to reach their full potential. It’s going to be a great year!
