PSJA Southwest ECHS Library
Volume 2. Go Javelinas!
Collaboration with Departments to create the Altar
The library is ready to set up, collaborate and assist with all departments, campus, and district needs. During October many departments and organizations rallied the students to assist in making the items used for the Día De Los Muertos Altar.
The library program collaborates with regional libraries, institutions, and/or community partners to provide access to additional programs and resources for students and faculty.
The program includes opportunities for collaboration among members of the learning community and opportunities to help learners become independent users and producers of ideas and information. Principle 2. The librarian works collaboratively with students, teachers, and the community to promote local, state, and national reading initiatives that encourage learners to read, write, view, speak, and listen for understanding and enjoyment.

Students have been reading and taking accelerated reader quizzes to reach their reading goals. We are so proud of the students who have read one million words and more so far this year. We encourage any new students to read and test on books we have in the library.
