MLK Jr. Day

This is a reminder that school will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

As you plan for the upcoming weekend, I encourage you to view this holiday as a "day on" rather than a "day off" by participating in one of the many events happening across the city to honor Dr. King's life and legacy. A list of local weekend events can be found at:
https://www.atlantaparent.com/martin-luther-king-jr-day-events/
https://discoveratlanta.com/events/seasonal/mlk-day/

While the weather may be brisk, we hope it won't deter you from enjoying these meaningful opportunities with your family.

Enjoy your three-day weekend.

Best regards,
Derrick L. Thomas
