How to Protect Yourself:

The "Verify You're a Human" prompt asking you to copy/paste text into your computer is a dangerous malware scam known as ClickFix. Attackers use fake CAPTCHA pages to trick you into running malicious PowerShell scripts that can steal passwords and personal information.

Technology and First Round of STAAR Tests Technology and First Round of STAAR Tests

STAAR Testing Technology Went Well!

The first round of STAAR tests seemed to go smoothly. A few small incidents were reported.

1. Chromebook screen zoomed in and student was not able to zoom out. After troubleshooting by Ctrl + Shift + 0 (zero) and Ctrl + - (minus) did not work, the student was able to scroll up and pause the test, login to another Chromebook and resume testing. Thankfully, the student was able to resume testing.

2. Desktop computer had to be restarted to clear a detected open Google browser before student could login. - If you are in a computer lab, make sure all testing computers have been restarted prior to test day.
