PRINCIPAL'S CORNER

We ended 2023 on a very "giving note" as a Roosevelt School Community. For example, we had a very successful coat drive (collecting over 400 items). LIkewise, the Toys for Tots Drive was a huge success. Furthermore, our PTO coordinated a special holiday gift to all teachers and staff. Thank you so much to everyone who reached out to be a part of the holiday gift to teachers and staff. This was a tremendous effort, and we greatly appreciate your kindness.

Continuing with this giving theme, Roosevelt will participate in the National Kindness Week Challenge January 22-26. Last year our students completed over 5,300 acts of kindness, and we are eager to see if we can break that record effort this year!

Thank you so much for your continued generosity. Roosevelt is a special place with a big heart for others.

Have a wonderful day!

Dr. Dwyer, Principal

Thank you!

This year, Park Ridge residents donated over 1,100 pieces of winter gear, far exceeding past years! Most of the coats were transported to the Chicago Strong Futures Program, a program that provides support and stability to youth and young adults on Chicago's south side.

Office Drop Off

Please double check to ensure students come to school with all the materials they need for the school day. For example, Chromebook, winter gear, water bottle, band instrument, lunch, etc... Lately, we noticed that parents have to make a separate trip to drop off these items at the school office, and we are trying to be helpful.

Lost & Found Update!

This is the view from the lost & found today. These are items that are not labeled. Please take the time to label items that come back and forth to school each day. Any labeled items will have a significantly higher rate of being returned to their owner. Please stop by at arrival or dismissal if your student is missing an item to check the lost & found.

Staff Parking Lot

Please refrain from entering the staff parking lot during school hours. This lot is for staff only. There has been an influx of parents parking, dropping off students and turning around in the lot which creates unsafe situations for students and staff. Please help students and staff be safe by abiding by all signs around campus.
