Dear Hemlock High School Parents and Students:

Due to the new Covid-19 closure rules, high schools in the state will no longer be providing face to face instruction. We are scheduled to return on Wednesday, December 9th. During this time, students will be learning synchronously (live, together at a scheduled time) from home with the following procedures:

Full Remote learning

  • Every hour students are required to log into their class for the lesson and attend a Google Meet
  • Participation points will be awarded for participating in daily Google Meet sessions
  • Attendance will be taken each hour

1st hour at 8:00 am

2nd hour at 9:00 am

3rd hour at 10:00 am

4th hour at 11:00 am

5th hour at 12:00 pm

6th hour at 1:00 pm

7th hour at 2:00 pm

  • The teacher will give students a short lesson on what they are doing in class that day. Work will then be assigned on Google Classroom.

Thank you for working together on this with us and supporting your students' education. We will continue to do all that we can to provide the best education possible through these trying times.

Stay safe,

Keith Green

Athletic Department Fundraiser

Looking to get a jump on Christmas presents? The Hemlock Athletic Department is holding a water bottle fundraiser now until winter break.

These water bottles/tumblers come in navy or pink and can be customized with a jersey # or first name on the front and a last name on the back. This keeps others from guessing who's bottle is who's.

Samples are available in the high school office to view. There is a quick turn around on the orders so no waiting for weeks or months to get your order back. All order forms should be turned into the high school office as well.

Welcome Mr. Slate!

Hemlock Public School District is excited to announce that alumni Jamie Slate, from the class of 2007, is returning home to be back with the Huskie Pack.

The district had an opening at the high school, and although the pool was filled with great potential candidates, Jamie Slate rose straight to the top of the list.

Principal Keith Green noted, “It is always wonderful to see former students return home and help educate the next generation or two of Hemlock students.”

Slate brings with him a wealth of experience, having taught and coached in both Mount Pleasant and Bay City for nearly ten years.

“Slate brings a number of intangibles to our team; his sense of work ethic, experience, dedication, and Huskie Pride all made him the right and only choice,” said Superintendent Don Killingbeck.

The expected start date for Jamie Slate is Monday, November 30th. In the meantime, please help us welcome him back to the Huskie Pack.
