Dear 6th Grade Families,
As we approach the final week before the holiday break, I want to share a few important updates and reminders to help ensure a smooth and productive week for everyone.
MAP Testing Makeups
If your child has not yet completed their MAP test, this will be their last opportunity to do so. These assessments are crucial for us to understand how best to support your child’s learning. We use the results to guide instruction during our WIN (What I Need) time in math and ELA, as well as to inform additional academic supports tailored to your child’s needs. Please encourage your child to do their best and ensure they are well-rested and prepared for their makeup test.
Outdoor Recess Reminder
The weather this week is projected to be warmer, which means we will continue our practice of going outside for recess as long as the "real feel" temperature is 20 degrees or above, and there is no precipitation or overly wet grounds. Please make sure your child has appropriate outdoor gear to comfortably enjoy 20 minutes of outdoor play. Hats, gloves, and warm jackets are recommended to keep them cozy.
