Happy 5th Week of the 4th 9 Weeks.

Last Monday, we celebrated the Solar Eclipse with fun activities, a special lunch and treats. The clouds cleared up just in time to see the solar eclipse through the solar eclipse glasses. Grades 3-8 and English I and English II students took the STAAR ELA tests on Wednesday. Although Friday was a student/staff holiday, our high school baseball team played a double header with Sulphur Bluff due to the rain earlier in the week. Prom was Saturday night at the Savannah in Sulphur Springs. Our students were dressed to the nines and had a great time hanging out with their friends.

This week is another packed week with STAAR Science Grades 5, 8 and Biology EOC on Tuesday. STAAR Social Studies is scheduled for Wednesday for Grades 8 and US History EOC.

As always, it is an honor and a privilege to be a part of the Yantis ISD Owl Family. Have a great week!
