Milestones Testing
Last week we had a fantastic workshop for families to learn about all types of assessments FCS students are required to complete through the school year. If you did not have the opportunity to attend, please see the presentation below. Included are the following review points for all assessments, how they measure students' growth, create opportunities for advanced placement or individualized supports needed. Test dates and study guides are also available. With all workshops parents are better equipped to assist student achievement. Please provide your feedback of this information by completing the short survey on page 34, PCI Assessment Presentation.pptx If you would like more information, please contact Mrs. Simmons at (470) 254-3958 or Mrs. Franks-Smith at (470) 254-3951.
Congratulations

Student Highlights
ECCE Students Field Trip
Our Education and Training students enjoyed engaging with Pre-K students at College Park Elementary School! From leading a story time and follow-up craft to jumping into dramatic play, they gained valuable hands-on experience in early childhood education while making meaningful connections with the children.
Congratulations to our PCI scholars who have successfully landed internships with some of our top industry partners:
Gustavo Ayala in our Welding pathway, interning with C.W. Matthews on construction projects around the city.
Jasiah Dennis in our Logistics and Supply Chain pathway who is the Supply Chain Analyst Intern at Arden’s Garden.
Xavier Hines and Mohammed Afzal in our Avionics pathway. Both students were selected for the ATL Aviation Summer Employment Youth Program at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
And Jayonna Joyner in our Health Care pathway who will start her summer internship in June, gaining hands-on experience in the medical field in Grady Hospitals' Teen Experience and Leadership Program.
We are so proud of their hard work and dedication!

Counseling Resources
.
Emergency Mental Health Resources:
The following facilities provide 24-hour assistance and have shared with the district that they will complete emergency assessments at no cost. If your child already receives support from a mental health provider, you may wish to contact that professional first. You may also want to check with your insurance company regarding mental/behavioral health coverage. Please note that the district does not endorse any provider, makes no representations as to the effectiveness of these providers, and makes this information available only as a helpful resource.
