Welcome back, Eagle Nation, and Happy New Year! We had a great first week back. Thank you to our students and families for your patience and support as we prepared for the second semester. Please remember our school and district policies for electronic devices and dress codes. Your partnership helps us keep a safe space where students can learn and grow.

We also ask all middle school families to join our Mandatory Parent Meetings on Monday and Tuesday. The meeting for 6th and 7th grades is on Monday, January 12th at 5:00 PM in the SBMHS Cafeteria. The meeting for 8th grade is on Tuesday, January 13th at 5:00 PM in the SBMHS Cafeteria. We look forward to seeing you there!

Rise up, Eagle Nation, and meet the expectation!

Teacher Office Hours

Students and parents, please remember that our teachers hold weekly office hours from 3:30 to 4:40 PM. Check the chart below to see each teacher’s scheduled day. This time is great for make‑up work, extra help, or retakes. Please keep in mind the district policy allows five retakes per course, except for benchmark assessments. Students are asked to let their teacher know ahead of time so needed materials can be prepared.

Middle School

This week, middle school students took part in meaningful learning in ELA, math, social studies, academic enrichment, and the library. Your work in reading, digital tools, and ISN notebooks was inspiring. Let’s carry this focus into the rest of 2026.

This week, our middle school students worked on the social-emotional learning (SEL) topic of setting goals. Students were asked to set short term and long term goals for the 2026 new year and asked how do they plan to achieve their goals personally and by the help of others support (teachers, family, friends, etc.) The students will use their writings to monitor their progress of their goals and create more as they complete them. We are looking forward to starting the year off motivated and increasing our achievements in all life areas. Go Eagles!
