"Do A Job"
NOVEMBER 7, 2025
Today, we hosted hundreds of Veterans in our annual Veterans’ Day Assembly. This is a highlight of our entire year and continues to be a great showing of appreciation and honoring of the Veterans, police, and first responders in our community, as well as their families who have served and who still are serving our country and our community. We say Thank You. Shout Out to Mrs. Knight and our band kids, Ms. Martin, and the Elementary Voices. Also to our soloists, Maggie Martin, and Nico Dykstra. This takes a lot of preparation and hard work. Thank you to all who made this a special day.
Yesterday, Mr. Myers and I had the privilege of taking 6 of our sophomores to the SAC League Leadership Conference in Coloma. They heard a great message and worked through some workshop activities with National Leadership Speaker and author Craig Hillier. Delton was well represented, and our kids were fully engaged with their participation. Thanks to Sophie Lebeck, Aubrey Yarger, Lindie Wiessner, Mason Ferris, David Menck, and Easton Reynolds for their leadership and for representing DK well.
So proud of our DK Volleyball Team, who has advanced to the district finals tonight at DKHS starting at 7 PM. Their semi-final match on Wednesday was one of the best examples I have seen of grit and determination as they stormed back after losing set 1 and down 20-9 in set 2 to defeat Saranac. It isn’t very often that we have hosted a district finals at DK with our team in the final. Let's show up and support these young ladies.
Too many Hogie’s Heroes this week to list here, as we get such a good response from helpers ready to serve when we need extra help. This was on full display this week with our setup and teardown of the assembly furniture, followed by the work it takes to host a District Tournament. Thanks to all who helped. Have a great weekend and GO PANTHERS!!! DO A JOB!!!!!
