How the CBO and SCRIC Financial Services Keep Districts Running

Did you know that CBO and SCRIC Financial Services Teams work in tandem to support the nVision financial system? Both teams collaborate together when something needs attention - bringing value to districts that meets their changing needs based on new federal and state requirements.

The best way to think of the collaboration is in this way: one team keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, while the other uses that foundation to deliver the day-to-day financial services your district depends on.

SCRIC Financial Services focuses on maintaining the systems you rely on every day. They ensure nVision is up to date, secure, and aligned with federal and state requirements. When regulations change, they work directly with vendors to implement updates. If something isn’t working as expected, they troubleshoot, escalate, and respond quickly to keep things moving.

Building on that foundation, the CBO Team supports the operational side of your district’s finances. They process payroll, manage financial reporting, handle year-end adjustments, review compliance, and assist with vendor payment corrections. Their work ensures that everything runs accurately and efficiently from a business perspective.

A great example of this partnership in action was the recent federal overtime compliance changes tied to the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” The Financial Services Team worked to update and adjust the systems while coordinating with vendors, and the CBO Team supported districts in meeting the new operational and reporting requirements. When payroll reporting challenges came up, both teams collaborated to resolve system issues and created clear training and documentation to make things easier for districts moving forward.

Much of this work happens behind the scenes with minimal to no disruption to district operations. When systems run smoothly, payroll processes without disruption, and reports are accurate, your district can focus on what matters most. Together, SCRIC Financial Services and the CBO Team provide a seamless, reliable experience so you don’t have to navigate the complexity alone.
