Principal's Message
Dear Center School Families,
A huge shout out to everyone who helped make our Fun Run a great day. We were thrilled to have such wonderful weather for the event and are grateful for all of the support. As a reminder we have the Pasta Dinner on Thursday which will be another wonderful event for our community.
As we enter into October we are doing a check in on our lost and found. We have a large collection of sweatshirts that you can see photographed below. On Friday, these items will be donated to keep the area manageable to maintain. Please take a look at the photo and pick up any of your items before Friday.
As we enter into the second month of school, please know we are looking at our attendance data. We did a review of the first month of school's data and any student who has missed more than 10% of the year so far will be receiving a letter around their absences. We use this threshold to match the state's definition of chronic absenteeism which is 10% of the school year (18 days total). We are working hard to improve our attendance rates this year and striving to help everyone understand the importance of being in school each day. We appreciate your partnership with us in prioritizing school attendance.
In partnership,
Kerryann Coppinger

Attendance & Dismissal Updates: No more phone calls, paper notes, or emails!
Now that the school year is underway, we’d like to remind families that PickUp Patrol is the program we use to share important daily information. Parents should use PickUp Patrol to report:
Absences (Please enter as soon as you know of an upcoming absence. It helps us a lot when they are in prior to the day starting).
Late arrivals
Any changes to dismissal plans (before 2pm)
Using this program ensures that the school office, your child’s teacher, the health office, and the dismissal team all have the same, up-to-date information each day. Families can access PickUp Patrol through the mobile app or the website dashboard.
