Mustangs, let your creativity soar! Your student is invited to enter the PTA Reflections Art Contest to share through visual art, dance, music, or writing what their culture means to you! Culture is about what makes you you: your family, your traditions, your heritage, the music you listen to, the food you eat, your community, your values, anything that makes you who you are! More information will come home in folders this week. If your student is ready to start now, you can learn more here. Entries will be due November 3rd. Physical submissions can be turned into Mrs. Byars and digital submissions can be submitted here. Winners in each category will advance to the district competition. Battle of the Books permission forms are coming home this week. Please return them by 10/14 at the latest. Battle of the Books is a fun reading competition for students in grades 3-5. Students will be placed on teams of five students and coached by a staff member. Students will read from a list of books selected by the BoB committee and will participate in a campus competition on 12/17. The winning team from each grade level will advance to the district competition in May. Books will be provided for each team to share. Shirts will be available for purchase soon.
