Thank You, Maynard! Thank You, Maynard!

We are incredibly grateful to the Maynard community for your overwhelming support of the override for our schools. Thank you for attending Town Meeting, casting your votes, and advocating for our students and staff. Your support reflects our shared commitment to ensuring high-quality educational opportunities for all students, and we are proud to partner with you in this important work. As Superintendent Haas said in his message this week, “It is also a victory for our entire community. A strong school system is the backbone of any successful town or city.”

We also want to highlight the incredible efforts of some of the Maynard High School students who took this opportunity to learn more about the civic process.

Together, we are building a brighter future for all. Thank you!

Arrival and Dismissal Concerns Arrival and Dismissal Concerns

As we wind down the school year, we want to remind families of the following important parking guidelines:

🚗 No Parking on Tiger Drive or the Green Meadow Driveway:
These areas are designated as rolling drop-off zones only. Parents must remain in their vehicles and keep the line moving. Stopping and leaving your vehicle unattended in these areas is not permitted.

🚶‍♂️ If You Need to Accompany Your Child:
Please park in the Crowe Park lot. This ensures a safe and smooth drop-off experience for everyone.

🏞️ Safety Reminder for the Crowe Park Lot:
We understand safety concerns when using this lot. Please remember to:

  • Hold your child’s hand when walking to the sidewalk.

  • Stay alert and watch for cars pulling in and out of spaces.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe! Let’s finish the school year strong!

Green Meadow students have been learning about celebrating differences and uniqueness this week during SEL lessons. First graders enjoyed a read aloud entitled Perfectly Norman that allowed for discussion about being “perfect” and being “perfectly ourselves”. Perfection is often unattainable and unsustainable, and yet many of us, even children, strive for perfection. Do you have a perfectionist in your family and need some tips on parenting a perfectionist? The first step may actually be to be an imperfect parent! This podcast on how to embrace imperfection can help guide you. Questions or feedback? Please contact Julie Danforth at jdanforth@maynard.k12.ma.us.
