Thank You, Maynard!
We are incredibly grateful to the Maynard community for your overwhelming support of the override for our schools. Thank you for attending Town Meeting, casting your votes, and advocating for our students and staff. Your support reflects our shared commitment to ensuring high-quality educational opportunities for all students, and we are proud to partner with you in this important work. As Superintendent Haas said in his message this week, “It is also a victory for our entire community. A strong school system is the backbone of any successful town or city.”
We also want to highlight the incredible efforts of some of the Maynard High School students who took this opportunity to learn more about the civic process.
Together, we are building a brighter future for all. Thank you!
Arrival and Dismissal Concerns
As we wind down the school year, we want to remind families of the following important parking guidelines:
🚗 No Parking on Tiger Drive or the Green Meadow Driveway:
These areas are designated as rolling drop-off zones only. Parents must remain in their vehicles and keep the line moving. Stopping and leaving your vehicle unattended in these areas is not permitted.
🚶♂️ If You Need to Accompany Your Child:
Please park in the Crowe Park lot. This ensures a safe and smooth drop-off experience for everyone.
🏞️ Safety Reminder for the Crowe Park Lot:
We understand safety concerns when using this lot. Please remember to:
-
Hold your child’s hand when walking to the sidewalk.
-
Stay alert and watch for cars pulling in and out of spaces.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe! Let’s finish the school year strong!

Preschool Snack and Sing
Preschool families are invited to join their child's class for a snack and a special music class with Ms.Wong. The preschool team will communicate the details with families. Please note the schedule below.
Field Day
Our annual Field Day event organized by Randy Wood, our physical education teacher, will be held at Crowe Park on Tuesday, June 3, with a rain date of Thursday, June 5. The PTO will share a volunteer sign-up. Students in Kindergarten and Grade 1 will attend from 9-10:30 AM, and students in Grade 2 and Grade 3 will attend from 1:00 - 2:30 PM. Students will need to wear athletic attire (t-shirt and shorts), sneakers, and socks. We recommend a hat or sunglasses, and of course, a water bottle. All students should come to school wearing sunscreen that day.
Grade 3 Moving On Ceremony
Our traditional Grade 3 Moving On Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, at 9:00 AM. We will be celebrating their time at Green Meadow and wishing them well at Fowler. Families are invited to attend. Students will be performing some of the musical pieces they have been working on this Spring. Grade 3 teachers will share more information as the date gets closer.
Grade 3 Clap Out
We will be recognizing our third grades on the last day with the traditional Grade 3 Clap Out. Third Graders will take a last lap around the building while students and staff clap and wish them well as they transition to Fowler. Families are invited to continue to Clap Out by lining up near the Library dismissal doors. If your child will be riding the bus that day we will still have them exit from this door before joining their bus line.
