This is to help students complete school work, ask questions, get additional help, and be eligible for next month. Being eligible is helping them prioritize themselves to complete school work and establish good habits before high school. Please encourage your students to sign up and take advantage of this opportunity.
Upcoming Eligibility Event:

PTO- Family and School Connectedness Committee:
UPDATE: Due to scheduling conflicts this month's PTO meeting will be moved to Tuesday, September 22nd!
At Fairview, we know that our school is strongest when families and staff work together as true partners. If you want a seat at the table to share your voice, collaborate on school events, and help make decisions that directly impact our students and community, we invite you to join our Family and School Connectedness Committee (our version of the PTO)!
Whether you have big ideas or just want to stay more connected, your input is deeply valued. Mark your calendars for our next meeting on Tuesday, October 27th—we would love to see you there!
This meeting we will be discussing the following:

What Makes Fairview Special?
PBIS Corner:
At Fairview, we use PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to focus on rewarding positive choices rather than just punishing mistakes. Staff award ClassDojo Points when students lead by example.
PBIS School Store: Students can spend their points at our School Store, run by the Student Council. Store deliveries will occur every other week, starting the first week of September, giving students time to save up points for bigger prizes!
Action Item for Families: If you haven't connected to your child's ClassDojo account yet, please do so today! It’s the best way to track their points, celebrate their progress, and message directly with their teachers.
Birthday Bash!
Celebrating our students is one of our favorite things to do, and our monthly Birthday Bash is a long-standing Fairview tradition that lets us honor every single child while keeping classroom instructional time focused and disruption-free. It truly is the best of both worlds!
On the first Friday of every month, we host a school-wide celebration for all scholars with birthdays during that month. Families are invited to send in a treat with their student to share with their class on this special day.
Next Birthday Bash: Friday, October 2nd
Who We Are Celebrating: All students with a birthday in October
If your child has a birthday in October free to send a birthday treat with them on Friday, October 2nd so we can give them the celebration they deserve! Thank you for helping us make our students feel special while keeping our learning momentum strong.
Join our Team of Volunteers:
We love having families involved in our school community, and extra hands help keep Fairview running smoothly! Whether you are interested in chaperoning field trips or helping out around campus—such as reading with students, assisting at recess, grading, laminating, filing, or helping in our school garden—we would love your support.
To ensure the safety of all scholars, all volunteers and chaperones must complete a background check before starting. Please visit the WPS Parent & Community Volunteers webpage to fill out and submit your WPS Background Check Application. Thank you for partnering with us to make this a wonderful school year for our kids!
Dragon of the Month :
We are excited to continue one of our favorite Fairview traditions—Dragon of the Month! Each month, our teachers will nominate and highlight a student who goes above and beyond in demonstrating our school values and setting a positive example for their peers.
If your child is selected, you will receive a personal invitation to join us for a special celebration ceremony, held on the first Thursday of every month right after school from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM. We can’t wait to celebrate our stellar scholars throughout the year!
