Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
As our May school days are ticking away, BHS students are still engaged in AP testing and celebrating through all of the final concerts and awards programs. Be sure to look through the Upcoming Important Dates section to keep up with us!
Next week is a special week here at the high school. Our seniors will be celebrating their last day of classes on Friday, May 15th with the traditional building walkthroughs. This is always an emotional time as seniors get to see all of the teachers from the other buildings and reminisce with them.
We still have two and a half weeks with our students in grades 9-11, so please make sure you ask them about how their fourth quarter grades are looking now. Failing grades in the fourth quarter causes students to be placed on the ineligibility list for the first quarter of the 2026-2027 school year.
We hope you all have a great weekend.
In service to our Bulldogs.

Hello, Families.
Our AP students started their AP testing this past week with one more week to go. Good luck to all of them as they wrap up their hard work in these classes.
Again, with only a few weeks of school left, students still need to see me if they obtain their driver’s license to have an assigned parking spot.
The seniors’ last week is upon us. I’m excited for them and the activities that are planned for them in the upcoming weeks.
Have a great weekend.
Joe Moorehead, Dean of Students
Please Take Note of the Following:
- Attention Senior Parents: Parents, it is now time to organize the Guess Who page of the 25-26 Yearbook! Pictures should be submitted no later than May 15th.
Attention: please check your student’s school fees and cafeteria fee balances. Students attending prom must have all fees paid. Also, all seniors must settle their outstanding balances, not only for prom, but also to receive their physical diplomas. Take care of these fees soon. Thank you.

The FAFSA Application is still Open!!!!
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for students entering or attending college for the 2026-27 academic year is up and running! Any student that is thinking about attending any type of education/training after high school should complete the FAFSA - technical school, trade school, community college, public university, or private university. The FAFSA is what determines your eligibility for student loans, grants, work-study, and scholarships - thus, it is VERY important that you complete and submit it. Keep in mind, all students are eligible for student loans! We will continue to share information and helpful resources with you and your family as we receive it!
The Ohio Department of Higher Education would like to share that the 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available for all families to complete. Families who want to start filling out the FAFSA now can start the process at studentaid.gov.
