A Note from Mrs. Miranto and Dr. Pray
Last week we had our Chorus Pops concert, followed by seventh and eighth grade band this week. Students and teachers have put in so much work to prepare for their performances, and it showed. Thank you to our parents for supporting your children's love for music at home. Also, a huge shout out to Mr. Limina, Mrs. Vallas, and Mrs. Roberts for their dedication to your children and our music program.
Eight grade had the opportunity to spend the day in Allegheny State park last week. Through a grant from New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, students rode to the park in style on coach buses. Once they were at the park, students were able to receive guided tours and hands-on lessons from Park Rangers. This opportunity allowed our students to connect with nature.
Seventh grade has been equally as busy with field trips. Team Orion visited the Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium and both teams will be visiting the Albright Knox Gallery.
Yesterday, we held a Relax and Recharge Day. This was to celebrate all of the hard work that went into state testing, and to recharge us for final exams that are just around the corner. Teachers led sessions such as rock painting, making crepes, combine training, karaoke, string art, putt-putt, archery, and more. We took this as an opportunity to connect with our community and invited the NT Recreation Department to run games, Niagara Down Under to bring in two baby kangaroos, Ms. Erin to host Kid Yoga, P.A.W.S. for Love brought in two of their therapy dogs, and SRO Parish brought in Remi, the NTPD therapy dog. The day ended with a kickball game where the whole school cheered on the reigning Team Aries champs vs. Everyone Else. Unfortunately, Team Aries fell to their title with a 28-02 score. It was a great way to celebrate Wellness Week.

P-TECH Program
Some of our 8th grade students were invited to our parent P-TECH information night. They each received an invitation with an RSPV link. If your child is interested in the program and did not get an invitation, please reach out to Mrs. Vecchio.
