A Message from Ms. Osmerg
Dear Jaguar Families,
Our Fun Run is just three days away, and we couldn’t be more excited! I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible PTA for their dedication, time, and effort in organizing our ONE school fundraiser. Your support means the world to us—thank you!
We invite you to come cheer on our Jaguars as they run their laps this Friday. Please check in at the table located at the gate on the left-hand side of the school. After the Fun Run, students will return to class with their teacher. While we encourage students to stay for the full day, if you choose to check your child out early, please do so at the front desk.
Over the past two weeks, our students have been captivated by the beautiful murals coming to life on our walls! Our talented muralist shared how touched she’s been by the kind and thoughtful comments from our students. It’s been a joy to see our school brighten with color and creativity.
To keep the momentum going, I’ve submitted a $10,000 McDonald’s Grant to expand our mural project into other spaces—and even give our 5th grade students a chance to help design! Fingers crossed the grant is awarded to Abbotts Hill!
Lastly, I’d like to clarify a note from last week’s Hilltop Happenings. If your child is absent, please continue to send a written note to your child’s teacher. The previous instruction to email Kristi Stockman was an error—thank you for your understanding!
Wishing you a #AHE-mazing week ahead!
Jill Osmerg

Optional Device Insurance - Updated Instructions!
We are excited to share a new, simpler way for parents to sign up for the Optional Device Protection Plan for student devices. This plan provides families with affordable protection against accidental damage, loss, or theft of district-issued devices.
To support families, we’ve developed multiple resources:
- Step-by-step written instructions for different parent scenarios:
- New Parents / Parents adding a student to their household
- Existing Parents with a Parent Portal account
- New Parents creating a New Parent Portal account
- A short video walkthrough showing parents exactly how to complete the process.
These resources will also be posted on the FCS Strategy and Technology webpage for easy access.

*After the close of the extended signup window families can still contact the Technology Support Center at 470-254-HELP (4357) to sign up for the plan. However, the local school-based Technology Support Specialist will inspect the device prior to initiating the coverage.
