High Attendance Day

A big THANK YOU to our students and parents for their support on High Attendance Day. The middle school had an overall attendance percentage of 96%! The high school had an overall percentage of 92%. As a building, we had an overall percentage rate of 92%. That is impressive even with all of the illness currently going around.

Congratulations to the 7th Grade (96.55%), and the Freshmen (95.31%) for winning a pizza party courtesy of Mr. Spicher. They will get their reward on Friday, September 19th.

Youth Needs Screener Parent Consent

Each year, we work to make sure every student in our school receives the support they need to achieve success and experience positive outcomes on our campus. Ongoing screening in both academic and social, emotional, and behavioral functioning can identify students that need additional support to increase their academic performance and improve overall well-being.

Screening tools help school staff develop effective plans and allocate resources at the school, class, and individual levels. We will administer the Youth Needs Screener on Wednesday, September 24th. The Youth Needs Screener is completed by students in grades 6-12 and can be accessed at here for your review. To administer the screener, we need parent consent. You can either give consent or deny consent using the form below. We ask every parent or guardian to please fill out the form below by the end of the day on Friday, September 19th.

The results will be used as one data point in a proactive process that supports students with mentoring, organizational strategies, social skills, coping strategies, and other supports that help them fully engage in their learning. Should our team identify your child as needing additional support, you will be notified just as you would with academic interventions on our campus.

We encourage every child to participate in the Youth Needs Screener as it gives us important information about how well we are doing at the school level and how to best support each student in our school. If you have any questions, please contact BMHS Guidance Counselor Erin King at erin.king@bellevue.kyschools.us.
