The Buzz
Autumn Term - 16th October 2025
Message from the Executive Headteacher
Dear Parents/Carers,
Firstly a big thank you to all the parents and carers who have purchased items from our Amazon wish lists. It has been amazing to have such wonderful support and the children are looking forward to reading all the lovely new books which are making their way onto the shelves. This really does make a difference so if you are able to support the school the links are below.
There is a definite autumnal feeling in the air and there is even a little chill. We will soon be commemorating remembrance day both in school and at the local event. Thank you to the pupil who will be joining Mr James. There is space for another to accompany him on Sunday 9th November at the annual poppy day parade. Please email the school office if you would like to join him.
Rags 2 Riches collected your old clothing this week. Thank you for bringing them in and I am pleased to confirm that we collected £105.
You will have seen that tickets have gone on sale for our annual firework event last Monday. HPPA are looking for a team of volunteers to help make this evening possible so if you can spare some time please sign up via the attached link : Fireworks volunteer rota.xlsx - Google Sheets
Congratulations to the children pictured below for winning our Praise Postcard competition. The winning designs will shortly be printed and we look forward to sending these out to the children to celebrate achievement in school.
As we are coming up to half term, please ensure your child has re-stoked their pencil case with all the essential items, many of them are running out after so much work this half term. Ink Pot runs twice a week for pupils to buy top ups (Tuesdays and Friday lunches).
I hope you have a restful weekend when it arrives and are looking forward to a well deserved half term which is now on the horizon.
Ms H Lockey
Tickets are on sale now. Please ensure you get your ticket early to avoid disappointment!
Amazon Wish List
Parents and carers, we need your help to improve our library!
Over the last few years families have very kindly contributed gifts to the school via the Amazon wish list. These gifts are always incredibly well received and have made such a difference to the school community. This term we are asking families to help improve the variety of non-fiction books we have in the school library - an area used and enjoyed by all children, all the time!
This is where the Amazon Wish List comes in! This Wish List is populated by teachers who have a clear understanding of what additional books we need and what would make the biggest difference to your child and their classes.
When completing your purchase, please remember to include a gift receipt so we can see who kindly donated.
If you are able to make a purchase, please follow the links below:
