Video Conferencing
As a reminder video conferencing with students is only permitted with the use of the Schoology Conference button. No other LIVE video conferencing tools (Zoom, Meet, etc.) are permitted with students. Video recording tools such as Flipgrid, screencasts, and YouTube, for example, are permissible since those are shared recordings that educators can control in a closed, non-public environment. Teachers are also allowed to do screencasts, audio recordings, and videos of their lessons as well.
Also, be mindful of your background during a conference. If you have to step away, turn off the video camera and microphone until you are able to rejoin.
We know that you want to connect with your students, but we must do everything in our power to assure that we are doing so in a safe, controlled, manner.

Copyright Worries
Are you worried about breaking copyright laws while you add content to your courses? Utilize our district resources of Learn360 and Gale Resources. These tools are embedded right into your Schoology platform and we have the licenses needed to share them with our students. Click here to learn how!
If you would like to learn more about copyright laws in education and distance learning, please read more here.
Schoology Training
This week we will be focusing on developing activities in schoology for our students to complete at home. Please be sure to attend one of the training sessions being led by your DLS.
*Remember*
If a student can’t see your class in Schoology (or is attached to the wrong school in Schoology) please send us the student’s name and ID# so the account issue can be resolved.
