What's Happening in the Library

Thank you for your support at our Scholastic Book Fair! The profits made from sales will be put back into the library for students and teachers. Thank you for helping support literacy in our school.

Throughout the year we will be hosting Parent Training opportunities. This is a great way for you to get information in regards to Prosper ISD, education, technology, and community resources. Our next Parent Training will be Thursday, November 13h. Be sure to check your Ranger Report with times and registering to attend.

Are you looking for amazing online book resources for your student? Log into your student's School Portal and access Calhoun's MackinVia account for options. This is a great resource for home and when traveling. Click on the attached link for instructions on logging in.

1. Your child’s book should stay in their Library Book Bag when the book is not being read.

2. Books MUST be returned in the bag for a new book to be checked out and sent home.

3. If a bag is damaged please send it back to school so that we can reuse the label and repair or replace the bag. *DO NOT throw bags away.

4. Replacement bags will be $1.

If you receive an email reminder about a late library book don't worry! These reminders are sent out automatically on Monday mornings for any books that have been out for 30 days or more. We don't collect fines at our Calhoun Library, so it's just to remind you that you have a book at home that needs to be returned. Thank you for helping us keep the books in circulation for the students and teachers!
