Beginning a new school year can be difficult. It can be challenging to build new routines and get back on track. Your student may need you more at this time, to push encourage them to make positive choices.
During CUBS this month your student will review their attendance data from the 23-24 school year. Please take time to discuss this information and learn more about the attendance goal they have set for themselves.
TIP: Kids emotions do not take a summer break. They need different ways to express how they are feeling. This is key to helping them manage their feelings. How can you support your student with expressing their feelings regarding returning to school this year? If you notice your student is struggling, who can you reach out to? MAP Growth Testing in September
MAP Growth Testing is coming! MAP Growth is an adaptive achievement and growth test. It creates a personalized assessment experience by adapting to each student's learning level - precisely measuring progress and growth for each individual student. If your child correctly answers a MAP question, the computer assessment provides a harder question next. If they miss that same question, then an easier MAP question is asked. This provides essential information about what your child knows and is ready to learn.
August 27-28: Reading test
September 3-4: Math test
September 11-12: Science test
