MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
Just a month into the school year, there is already so much to celebrate in the Mount Vernon City School District! We had a fantastic opening to the year, with students getting into the swing of their new classes quickly. Student learning and achievement has already been pervasive throughout our classrooms, and we are excited to honor students for their great work during our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at 5:30 p.m. at the Board of Education on Wednesday, October 15.
Thank you to all the families who came out to support their children on Dad, Take Your Child to School Day! Our partnership with families is so important, and it means the world to have you involved in your children’s education. For more information on how to support your child, you can visit the new parent newsletter page on our website for valuable resources.
