Academy Announcements

Dear Academy Families and Friends,

The month is off to a great start, This past week our School Council and Parent Council met as well as our staff had a full PD working on important training topics

Parent/Teacher Conferences: Last call to sign up, Nov. 12 (5-8PM) and Nov, 13 (12:30-3:10PM) virtual. Meetings are 10 minutes.
Reminder that next week our students in Grades 3-5 will be taking the Panorama Survey. The survey is designed to help schools understand students' feelings towards school and safety.
Our ROAR assembly went great! Students were recognized for being ROAR models. Mrs. Scarpetti and Mrs. Young received the Staff Shining Star Award. 4M earned the Golden Paw and 1Y got the Jr. Paw for outstanding performance in the specialist classes and around the school. Great job 1Y and 4M.
The Academy Ambassadors are kicking off a Canned Food Drive (Nov. 18-22) to help the Weymouth Food Pantry. They are also sponsoring the Coats for Kids drive. Coats can be donated now through January 3. We take all sizes: men's, women's, children's and infants!

Last but not least, thank you to all of our families and community members who have served in the US Armed Forces. Thank you for your dedication and devotion to serving our great nation.

A lot of parents ask...what is ROAR all about???

ROAR is our PBIS model. There are four elements, one for each letter. R=Respect, O=Ownership, A=Achievement, and R=Responsibility. Each month students earn praise paws for all the good deed they do in alignment with these four elements. Then at the end of each month, we come together in the gym and celebrate students and staff from around the building doing great things!!! See the pictures below and online for more info)
