A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Hello Montessori Families!
I had the pleasure of dining with the top PTSA fundraisers and their buddies this week! We enjoyed pancakes and conversation! Thanks again to the PTSA for putting on the newly designed fundraising and to all who contributed! We have a wonderful school community!
As June approaches, we are gearing up for the last two weeks of school! Students have been working hard on final projects and daily work. This time of year brings mixed feelings - happiness for summer and a break from school and sadness at change and less time with school friends. If you're looking for any additional resources for the summer, please reach out to Ms. Libby!
Have a great weekend!
Elizabeth
Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run wrapped up another wonderful season this week with our final practice! As part of our Community Impact Project, the girls brainstormed ideas, voted on their favorite, and chose to partner with Lutheran Home’s Memory Care facility. Together, they spent a beautiful afternoon planting flowers with residents to create colorful gardens that can be enjoyed all summer long. It was truly a magical experience, and we are incredibly grateful to the parents and Fruit of the Bloom for generously donating the flowers.
This Sunday, our team will participate in the Girls on the Run Celebratory 5K at American Family Field. Everyone is welcome to come cheer on the runners or join in the fun!
Girls on the Run will return this fall. Incoming 3rd–5th graders should watch for registration information in August. If you have any questions, please contact Erin Hochevar at erinpeschel@gmail.com.
Battle of Books List is Out!
Battle of the Books (BOB) is a competitive reading program where students in grades 4-8 read 20 selected titles to answer trivia questions in teams. Battle of the Books begins around the end of October, but if your child would like to get a head start on reading some of the books, or if your child is not in Battle of the Books and is simply looking for a great summer read, check out the website below for a list of the 2026-2027 books. Email me with any questions. Jenice Carolan carolaje@wauwatosa.k12.wi.us
