August - 2026
Note from Mr. Moore:
Dear North Side Families,
What a great start to the school year! Just two weeks in, our students have returned with a strong sense of school pride and are helping us set the culture for excellence in everything we do.
Our students continue to shine in all areas. I’ll have more specifics to share about our 25-26 data in the September newsletter, but I am incredibly proud of the way NS continues to raise the bar in every area.
Thank you for your continued support of our independent reading program. Our students have read more than three times as many books as they had at this point last year! Below, you’ll find more information about our school-wide reading initiative. Let’s just say, I’m looking forward to getting a few pies in the face!
Our faculty and staff work incredibly hard to serve our students, and we continue to be grateful for your partnership and support.
It continues to be an honor to lead this amazing school. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

Counselor Corner-Back to School
Welcome Back, Students & Families!
Welcome to a new school year! I’m so excited to welcome our students and families back to school. I look forward to working with you and supporting your child as they learn, grow, and build confidence throughout the year.
Routines Matter!
The start of a new school year is a great time to establish healthy routines. Consistent bedtimes and morning routines help children arrive at school rested, prepared, and ready to learn.
It’s also important to set limits on video games and screen time. Too much screen time can make it harder for children to wind down at night and may interfere with sleep, focus, and daily routines. Encourage screen-free time before bed and make room for reading, family time, outdoor play, and other activities.
