SCHOOL HOURS
Students at Greenwood begin their day promptly at 7:45 a.m. Adult supervision begins at 7:00 a.m.; therefore, students are not to be brought to school before this time. Please make every effort to have your child at school on time. Students should be in the classroom at 7:40 a.m. Students are marked tardy if they arrive at their classroom after 7:45 a.m. Parents must park in the parking lot and escort students into the building and sign the tardy log. Excessive tardiness will lead to disciplinary action as outlined in the F1S Student Code of Conduct Book. The school day ends at 2:15 p.m.
ARRIVAL
For the safety of all of our children, it is essential that everyone abide by our arrival procedures. Car riders are to be dropped off at the rear of the building. Under no circumstances should students be dropped off in the bus circle or faculty/visitor parking lot. Bus riders will be dropped off at the front porch. Walkers will enter the building from the front porch.
TRANSPORTATION CHANGES
Transportation changes must be in writing and include the following: Student's full name, parent/guardian's name and name of teacher or documented in the School Dismissal Manger.
Changes must be made before 1:30 p.m.

Visitor Management System
Navigate 360
For the 2026-2027 school year, we will be using Navigate 360, a visitor management system, to enhance security and streamline the student sign-in and sign-out process. Beginning in the upcoming school year, anyone signing students in or out during the school day must present a valid photo ID. Extended Day will also require a valid photo ID to be presented to staff at student pickup.
Accepted forms of ID:
Driver’s license
State-issued ID
Passport
How will the system work?
When arriving at the school, ring the doorbell as you normally would.
Once inside the building, use the Navigate 360 Self-Serve Kiosk to select your reason for visiting the school and scan your photo ID.
Before a student is released, Navigate360 will confirm that the person signing the student out is listed in PowerSchool as having pickup authorization. The front office staff will then complete the sign-in or sign-out process.
Need to make changes to PowerSchool information, including pickup authorization?
Parents or guardians requesting changes to student information in PowerSchool must present a government-issued ID, complete and sign a form at the school. After ID verification, front office staff will process the requested updates. Changes involving guardianship, custody, or other restrictions will continue to require the appropriate supporting documentation.

Transportation
School Bus
Students must be registered and approved by July 8, 2026 at 11:59 pm to receive bus transportation on the first day of school. Bus information will be sent to parents registered by this deadline on July 22nd.
Those registering after midnight July 8th through July 28th, will get bus passes on July 31st and start riding the bus on August 5th.
Those registering on or after the 1st day of school will get a bus pass on August 7th and will start riding on the bus on August 10th.
Parents registering after the July 8th deadline must provide transportation for students until their registration is submitted and they are approved to ride the bus.
After School Daycare Bus
Office staff is working diligently to obtain roster information from after school daycare bus providers. However, if you know you have registered your child for an after school daycare provider that services Greenwood Elementary, email us at registration-ges@fsd1.org with the subject: After School Daycare.
Car Line - School Dismissal Manager
Welcome to School Dismissal Manager! Using School Dismissal Manager with your desktop or smartphone browser, you can quickly and easily update instructions when your child's dismissal needs to be changed. School Dismissal Manager notifies the school of your updates. School Dismissal Manager will provide a more organized and efficient tracking system for afternoon dismissals.
SDM assigned each family a "6" digit security code number required to pick up students in the car line. A Car Rider sign with the security code number will be issued to parents/guardians to pick up student(s) in the car line. Car rider signs will be issued during open house on July 27. Car rider signs should be posted in the window for clear access to security code.
**All students, returning and new, will receive a new "6" digit security code.**
