WUSD School Board Meeting Summary

The School Board recognized Jason Bleck, WHS Math Teacher, as the WUSD nominee for the 2024 Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship for WUSD. The winners will be announced in March. Congratulations Jason!

The policies were approved with the proposed changes during 2nd Reading:

- 346, Student Assessment

- NEW - 346-Exhibit, Annual Notice of Student Assessment Information (K-12)

The Board approved with great appreciation the $2,500.00 anonymous donation for the James M. Stewart Auditorium Sign at the High School. As well as the $1,000.00 anonymous donation to the District Family Emergency Fund.

In August 2023, the School Board approved the naming of the High School Auditorium. Jim served on the WUSD School Board for almost 27 years. He was elected as a School Board Member in April 1981, and served until April 2002. He ran again in 2016 and was elected that April. He continued to serve until his passing on November 26, 2021.

The official dedication for the James M. Stewart auditorium will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at 5:30pm prior to the High School spring play 'Our Town'.

School Board Meetings are held in the Whitewater High School Library with Open Session beginning at 7:00pm.
