Patriot Peek at the Week News

I hope that you will consider joining us at Wolf Ridge for one of our family events planned this week. We have the Wolf Ridge Color Run on Sunday, May 1st at 2:00. Our Junior High Band Students will be performing in a concert at BHHS on Tuesday, May 3rd at 6:30. We also have two family events this week. Our K-5 Reading and STEM Night will be on Wednesday evening from 5:30-7:00. You can come cruise around Wolf Ridge anytime on this evening and participate in fun learning activities as a family. The 6-8 Game Night will be on Thursday, May 5th starting at 5:30. We love having our families back in our building to learn right along with us!

Next week is also Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! Please consider writing a thank-you note to a staff member that you feel has made a difference for your child. We are lucky to have amazing educators at BHCUSD8.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2nd-6th. At Wolf Ridge, we want to celebrate our entire staff and show them how much we appreciate everything they do for our students. Please consider writing a thank-you note to one of our staff members. You can also help by donating one of the items below. All donations should be turned in to the office by Friday, April 29th.

Students in Grades PK-1 = Donate packaged breakfast items (granola bars, muffins, etc.) or a gallon of juice

(We plan to treat our staff to breakfast on Monday to kickoff the week.)

Students in Grades 2-3 = Donate chips and salsa

(We plan to have a fiesta lunch for staff on Cinco de Mayo!)

Students in Grades 4-5 = Donate packages of apples or crackers

(We plan to have a caramel apple bar for staff on Friday and a few charcuterie boards, too.)

Students in Grades 6-7 = Donate cans of soda or bottles of water/tea

(We hope to stock the teacher's lounge fridge with drinks for our staff.)

The school calendar for next year has been approved by our Board of Education. The school calendar for the remainder of this year is linked at the bottom of this newsletter. The last day of student attendance for this school year will be May 23rd. Students will be dismissed early on this day at 2:00PM. Don't forget that students will have spring break from April 11th-April 18th. Students will return from break on Tuesday, April 19th.

Students will be dismissed at 12:30. Be sure that you come back to school between 5:30-7 to join us for our K-5 Reading and STEM Night.

8th graders will be honored at a promotion ceremony on this day at 6:00 PM at BHHS.

We will have a special awards ceremony at Wolf Ridge at 1:00 for our 6th & 7th grade students. Family and special guests are invited to attend. (8th grade will receive their awards at the promotion ceremony on May 12th.)

We will have a special fun day on this last day of school for students at Wolf Ridge. This day will be a 2:00 early dismissal.

Summer learning this year will be based on need. Invitations will be mailed to specific students over spring break. Please accept or decline your child's invitation by April 20th.

Depending on the number of students that decline, invitations will be sent out to other students this week.
