From the Desk of your Early College School Counselor...

Hello and welcome to second semester!

Each of you should have received a pink Appointment Card in the USPS mail by now*.
Please, pay attention to the details listed on that slip, including the date, time, and what you need to do before attending this meeting with me.
During this appointment, we will discuss the credits you have earned so far towards high school graduation. We will also determine what classes you must take at FSCJ next year to meet the rest of your high school graduation requirements. These appointments are critical to your academic future! It is very important you arrive on time and have the needed materials in hand.

Students are encouraged to meet with Dr. Keefe-Bowens before they participate in their Degree Audit with Ms. Naita
(more information below), but some students will meet with Ms. Naita first due to scheduling conflicts. If you have already met with Dr. Keefe-Bowens and have your course recommendations, please follow Ms. Naita's instructions below.

Looking forward to meeting with you, if I haven't already - Dr. Keefe-Bowens

*If you have not received your pink Appointment Slip, please stop by the school between 2:00-3:00 p.m. to pick up your returned mail envelope. Thank you!

From the Desk of Ms. Naita Guine, your FSCJ Coordinator...

Good morning Early College Juniors!!!

It is that time of your Early College experience, where you and I will sit down and discuss your plans for university or career transitions! Each of you must meet with me individually. Your parents are welcome to attend, however, this discussion will focus on your dreams, aspirations and academic goals. Please review your schedule and find a time that is good for the two of us to meet to review your Degree Audit. Please consider the following questions because your responses will be used to create your course plan for your senior year.

1) What are your career interests?

2) What academic subjects are your strongest?

3) What academic subjects are your least favorite?

4) What universities are you considering transferring to?

5) How many community service hours have you completed? Are they documented?

Please send an email to me (Naita.B.Guine@fscj.edu) and indicate the time that is convenient for us to review your degree audit (available times are listed below). Also, be sure to indicate your first and last name in the email. I will respond to your email confirming our appointment. Your parents are welcome to attend this 20 minute meeting, but their attendance is not mandatory. My office is located at Kent Campus in A-100. This is the Campus President’s Office, so please me mindful of your conduct when arriving for your appointment.
