Take Flight 🦅

We’re thrilled to share that our West Snowball Leader, Julian Cisneros, has been selected to serve as a CGTI (Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute) Teen Ambassador for the Illinois Association of Behavioral Health! This honor recognizes all of the ambassadors' leadership, creativity, and commitment to making a positive impact.

As a Teen Ambassador, Julian and his peers will help bring youth perspectives to statewide behavioral health programming—working on projects for the Mid-Year and Summer Conferences, leading workshops, creating social media campaigns, and building connections that inspire change. Between events, they’ll continue to support outreach and collaboration while developing projects that reflect their passions.

Way to go, Julian! Continue to soar! Email Ms. Michele Ratini at mratini@leyden212.org if you want to learn more about or get involved with Operation Snowball.

Due to popular demand, limited-edition Leyden Soccer gear is now available for pre-order!

All proceeds will help fund next year’s Hispanic Heritage Night and support the Leyden scholarship for undocumented students.

Set in the 1920s, Radium Girls tells the true story of Grace Fryer and her fellow dial painters, young women employed to paint watch faces with glowing radium paint. At first, the work seems glamorous and respectable but slowly the women begin to fall ill. What begins as a health crisis evolves into a fight for truth and justice. The play follows Grace’s transformation from a quiet worker into a determined and courageous woman who refuses to be silenced.
