📣 Weekly Announcements & Reminders 💙
This week at BAS is a busy one—in the best way! Our students are working hard in the classroom, our athletes are continuing to represent BAS well, and our music groups are preparing for upcoming performances. Between academics, athletics, music practice, and regular day-to-day learning, there is a lot happening across campus, and it’s been encouraging to see students staying focused and engaged.
We are also looking ahead to one of our biggest events of the year—the Bobcat Classic Tournament, February 13–15! This weekend also includes a special Bobcat Classic service at Burleson Church, and we hope many of you will be able to attend and support our school community. You can find full tournament details, schedules, and updates on our website.
Thank you for all you do to support BAS. We are grateful for our students, families, and staff, and we’re excited for another strong week ahead!
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” ~ Isaiah 40:31
Out at NOON, Friday Feb 13. NO after school care available.
📚 Reading for Education Fundraiser – In Progress!
Our Reading for Education fundraiser is now underway! To get started, students need a parent or guardian to send 8 emails using the information on their fundraiser lanyard. Once the emails are sent, you’ll receive a confirmation code. Please write the code on the lanyard and send it back to school. Students who return their code will get to mystery draw a prize—a fun incentive for getting started! Thank you for supporting BAS and helping us build our classroom and library resources. We appreciate your partnership!
HELP BAS WHILE YOU SHOP! We recently started our school-wide fundraiser with Reading for Education (RFE.net). All donations from you, friends and family benefit our school. Did you know there is also a way to support BAS while you do your regular online shopping? Many merchants will give a percentage of what you spend to our school if you follow the steps below: 1. Go to the student’s page you are supporting at BAS 2. Scroll down under “4 Ways to Support” (or scroll to the bottom if you are on the “Shop” page from the main menu) 3. Click “Shop-Featured Merchants” 4. Search by category or click on “All Merchants” Some of the merchants include: Home Depot, Kohls, Old Navy/Gap, Sam’s Club, DoorDash, Carter’s, Sephora, Bass Pro Shop, Famous Footwear, JC Penney, Scholastic and Wal-Mart 5. Click the link and “Continue” to proceed to the merchant site 6. Shop and checkout as you normally would. BAS will automatically receive a percentage from the merchant. Share these steps with friends and family, as every dollar counts. Thank you for your support!
Parent Partnership: Helping Students Stay Organized
As we move into a busy season at BAS with academics, athletics, music rehearsals, and special events, students can feel the pressure of juggling multiple responsibilities. One of the best ways families can support their child is by helping them stay organized—checking backpacks, staying on top of homework, and encouraging good sleep habits.
Thank you for partnering with us to help students stay focused, prepared, and confident during this busy stretch of the semester!
đź‘• BAS Spirit Wear Available!
We have a great selection of BAS spirit shirts in stock, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, and long-sleeve basketball shirts—and we currently have an abundance of sizes available! If you’ve been wanting to grab one, now is the perfect time to come see what we have.
This year’s theme shirt is beautiful, and we would love for every student to have one! Spirit wear can be worn on Fridays and is also great for field trips and school events.
Stop by and see if we have your size!
