A Message From Mrs. O'Shaughnessy A Message From Mrs. O'Shaughnessy

As we begin to head toward the close of another wonderful school year, I find myself reflecting on just how much growth our students have shown this year. While we are incredibly proud of their academic progress, what stands out even more is how much they have grown socially, emotionally, and personally.

This year, we have watched students become more confident, more independent, more resilient, and more willing to take risks. We have watched friendships form, voices grow louder, goals be set, and students begin stepping into who they are becoming.

What makes PS 88Q so special is that our students are provided with countless opportunities to succeed not only inside the classroom, but outside of it as well. Programs and experiences such as theater, music, debate, academic before and after-school programs, running club, basketball, soccer, podcasting, digital media, PokΓ©mon club, gardening, Beautiful Me, and so many others help make our big school feel small. These opportunities allow students to connect with peers, discover passions, build confidence, and feel a true sense of belonging within our community.

Over the next few weeks, we look forward to doing exactly that, celebrating our students and all they have accomplished this year.

We are especially excited to welcome everyone into the building on Tuesday, June 3rd from 3:20 PM to 6:30 PM for our β€œWe Are PS 88Q” event. Families will have the opportunity to experience so many of the things that make PS 88Q such a special place, including our art show, Disney previews, band performances, podcasting showcases, and so much more.

Here's to a wonderful week ahead.
