NEW SAFETY PROCEDURES!
As you know, safety at White Knoll Elementary School is always a top priority, and we have many practices in place to keep our students and staff safe each day. We are now adding another layer of security for our school. As part of our procedures, we will be implementing a new Access Control System (Buzz-In Door System) on Wednesday, December 4, 2019.
After 7:45 a.m., ALL doors will be locked and visitors will be required to “buzz in” to gain access to the building through a closed circuit monitoring system. Visitors will only gain access through the left door of the main entrance. Please click on the link for the letter and directions: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VYiYqVTfIycDu66Tbay37dzuL8eWxwTtAYiqA9Ft5tY/edit?usp=sharing
All students arriving after the 7:45 tardy bell will need to be escorted inside as you will need to go through the process in the letter to enter the building. Please be patient with us as we all get acquainted to the new safety feature. We want to ensure the safety of everyone!

DID YOU KNOW??
Making a threat — whether in person, through a telephone call, a text message, an email or even a social media post — could mean a criminal offense for a student because of a relatively new law. In May of 2018, an amendment to the S.C. Code of Laws created the new crime “Student Threats” (Section 16-17-425).
As school officials, we must report any student threat and investigate. Your child’s safety is too important for us to risk assuming someone is joking or that it is just kids being kids.
