Security Officer Appreciation Week
Did you know that the 3rd week of September is National Security Officer week? Our security team is dedicated to protecting our students and staff. Without them it would be impossible for the rest of the school to function in a safe an orderly environment. They are highly trained professionals who deter crime, lead investigations, work closely with Officer Sheldon, patrol the school, and are constantly vigilant in their efforts to keep our staff and students safe.
Thank you to Mr. Jeff Buzzi, Ms. Tiffany Gray, Mr. Robert Milburn and Ms. Tatiana Vollano for all that they do each and every day to ensure our safety! We appreciate you.

Welcoming Back Ms. Johnson and Fergus, Our BHS Therapy Dog During FLEX 1 & 2 on 9/26
Fergus is a 9-year-old yellow lab who has been working as a therapy dog for 6 years. He loves kids, bones and balls, and above all FOOD! Fergus trained to be a guide dog, but when it was clear his skill set wasn’t a good fit for guiding, he was adopted by the Johnson family who raised him as a puppy. Working as a therapy dog is his passion and he gets so excited every time he sees his vest getting pulled out.
Fergus loves coming to Battlefield! Fergus visits a few times a month on FLEX days. His visits are usually announced in the Bobcast and on his Instagram account (follow along at: @fergusbhs_therapydog). Students can visit with Fergus in the front of the building by 1) going to their scheduled FLEX, 2) asking their FLEX teacher, 3) signing out in e-hall pass. Students can hang out with Fergus for 10-15 mins before returning to their FLEX class.
