Curriculum Night Information
6th Grade - Wednesday, September 2nd
7th & 8th Grade - Thursday, September 3rd
We're excited to welcome our DeSana families to Curriculum Night! This is a great opportunity for parents and guardians to visit their student's classrooms, meet their teachers, and learn more about what students will be learning and experiencing this year.
Because our schedule is brief and we anticipate many families joining us, Curriculum Night is designed as a general overview rather than a time for individual conferences. If you have specific questions or concerns about your student, we encourage you to reach out directly to their teacher to schedule a separate conversation.
Students are welcome to attend; however, the evening's information is primarily geared toward parents and guardians. Additionally, as many of you know, parking at DeSana is limited. When possible, we ask that families limit attendance to parents/guardians and carpool or ride together to help us accommodate everyone.
We can't wait to see you and share more about the exciting year ahead! Please see below for Curriculum Night details.
Time: 6:00 - 7:35 PM (Click here to access the schedule)
- Parking will be available in the front and back of our building. Please see the attached map - parents should park in the areas marked in blue.
- Doors will open for families at 5:45 PM, and the first class will begin promptly at 6:00 PM.
You will follow your child's schedule and report to each of their classes. Be sure you bring your device so that you can access the schedule through the Parent Portal or write the schedule down in advance, as we will not be printing schedules.
Early Release Day
Friday, September 4th is an early release day.
1:00pm: No more check outs
1:05pm: Car rider line may pull forward

The Dragon Way
Be Prepared β’ Be Respectful β’ Be Safe
Students who demonstrate the Dragon Way can earn Thunder Tokens from any staff member. Every three weeks, the PBIS Treat Trolley visits a different grade level, where students can redeem tokens for snacks, drinks, school supplies, positive phone calls home, and other rewards. Tokens carry over throughout the school year!
Our Quarter 1 Goal
Each grade level is working to earn and cash in 1,500 Thunder Tokens by October 13. Any grade level that reaches the goal will earn a Halloween Dress-Up Day on October 30!
Dress-up guidelines include no masks, props, blow-up costumes, face/body paint, or violent/inappropriate themes.
Families can help by talking with their students about The Dragon Way and celebrating the positive choices they make each day!
