Principal Lima's Eagle News
Dear Families and Students,
This week at DES was filled with fun, celebrations, and promotions! We kicked off the week with our annual Field Days on Monday and Tuesday, where students enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities and games.
We also celebrated some important milestones. Our PreK Graduation ceremonies were held on Monday and Tuesday, and on Wednesday we proudly recognized our Grade 4 students during their Promotion Ceremony as they prepare to begin their middle school journey. Today, our Grade 1 students enjoyed a field trip to Buttonwood Park Zoo, and thankfully the rain held off for a wonderful day of learning and exploration.
We are incredibly proud of all of our students and the tremendous growth they have shown throughout the school year. Their hard work, perseverance, and accomplishments have made this a truly successful year at DES.
As we prepare for summer, we wanted to share that this year we will not be distributing Summer Kick-Off Buckets. Instead, students will receive Summer Fun Bags filled with activities and items to help them stay active throughout the summer months. These bags will be distributed next week. If your child will not be attending school on Friday, June 26, please let their teacher know so we can ensure they receive their bag.
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Katelyn Lima, Principal (klima@drregional.org)
Mr. Kenneth Girouard, Assistant Principal (kgirouard@drregional.org)

Districtwide Branding Town Hall
The Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District invites families, students, staff, alumni, and community members to attend our Districtwide Branding Town Hall Virtual Meeting on June 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
Building on the successful rebranding of Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School, we are exploring the possibility of creating a unified district identity that would connect our students from their earliest school experiences through graduation. Imagine being a Falcon from PreK through Grade 12βa shared identity that celebrates our traditions, strengthens school pride, and unites our community.
This Town Hall is an opportunity to learn more about the initiative, ask questions, share your thoughts, and help shape the future of our district. Whether you are excited about the idea, have questions, or simply want to learn more, we encourage you to join us and make your voice heard.
Together, we can help define what it means to be part of the Dighton-Rehoboth community.
