Cracking Christmas Dinner
Christmas Dinner
This week we had a great Christmas Dinner. The children and staff enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings. All children had a cracker and hat and enjoyed singing along to famous Christmas songs. A big thank you to everyone in the kitchen and our wonderful midday supervisors who made it such a fun festive occasion.
Give it Back Mack - Theatre Show
Riding Lights
We are sure that the children will have shared how much fun they had when Riding Lights Theatre group come into school to present 'Give it back, Mack!' The children laughed at all the jokes and enjoyed the story of how the shepherds met baby Jesus. Many thanks for the parental support towards the cost of this activity. If you haven't yet managed to give a contribution, parents of children in Reception through to Year 3 can make a £3 per child payment through Parent Pay.
Nursery Nativity
Nursery Nativity
The children in Nursery have been learning all about the Christmas story. To help them understand what happened they have been dressing up and recreating the events in their very own nursery stable.
Spiritual Council Lead Worship
Spiritual Council take the lead in worship
This week Spiritual Council took over leading worship. Our Year 6 members of Spiritual Council put together a worship on the topic of being proud of our achievements. They shared information about some of the famous people who have achieved great things and also talked about the ways that we succeed every day in school. Our Year 5 council members produced a worship all about being safe online. They talked about passwords and the importance of treating everyone with kindness. Well done Spiritual Council.
Christmas Activities Next Week
End of term and Nativity - Everyone Loves a Baby!
We are all super excited about our Year 1 and Year 2 Nativity. To end our term the children will be presenting, 'Everyone Loves a Baby!' The performance will start in the Cathedral at 1.30pm. Children from the school will be seated on the left side of the Cathedral (as you enter) with parents and carers on the right. The Nativity is always a very special event and a wonderful way to be reminded about the true meaning of Christmas. After the Nativity, we will walk children in all classes back to school so they can get changed and collect their belongings. School will close at 2.30pm and children can be collected in the usual way from their classrooms.
