If you look at any successful and thriving organization you will find at its core strong leaders who are committed to the same purpose. In Temple ISD our shared vision is to instill the value of learning in each student and prepare them to be future leaders of society. Behind the vision we have two groups of leaders who champion this cause and inspire others to do the same: our Board of Trustees and our campus principals.

Our governance team is led by seven elected officials who represent the community as advocates for our students, families and staff in their role as a Board Trustee. These dedicated individuals govern the overall direction of the district by developing a shared vision and supporting implementation through legislative advocacy, policy development and budget allocations. Temple ISD’s board members devote countless hours ensuring that our students and staff have the resources they need to be successful and often much of their work goes unseen. Over the next several months, we will be highlighting each of our board members so that you too can see what an incredible job they do representing our community.

Our campuses are led by 15 individuals who are responsible for the day to day operations of these buildings and the overall experience of the students, parents and staff who fill them. These leaders work tirelessly to maintain a culture that promotes learning through safe and supportive environments. Our campus principals are committed to excellence and they inspire staff and students alike to excel and believe in themselves. There is no other collective group of principals anywhere that can rival those who serve in Temple ISD - and I mean it.

Know this… Temple ISD’s foundation is strong and secure because of the leadership of our Board of Trustees and campus principals who are united in our commitment to your children, our students, and their futures.

Sincerely,

Bobby Ott
