Comparto esta cita porque el peso de las palabras resuenan en mí: los sonidos y cánticos que escucho cada mañana me recuerdan cuán unidas pueden ser las comunidades y también cuán alejadas pueden estar las comunidades. Tengo grandes esperanzas en la mediación de este fin de semana de tres días y también entiendo que sin lucha no se puede avanzar y lo desconocido da miedo y estresante.

Quiero asegurarles a todos que estaremos aquí con el corazón y la mente abiertos cuando regresemos a la escuela

I share this quote because the weight of the words resonate with me - the sounds and chants I hear every morning reminds me how close communities can be and also how far apart communities can be. I have high hopes for this 3 day weekend's mediation and I also understand that without struggle there is no moving forward and the unknown is scary and stressful.

I want to assure you all that we will be here with an open heart and an open mind when we return to school.

With the change in weather we have seen a lot of students in need of a change of clothes. We have a school clothing closet but are running really short on a few specific items. If you are able to donate any new socks, underwear or size 5-12 sweat pants/leggings we would gladly accept them in the office.
