SHS Student Council sponsored a "turkeys in disguise" contest to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Congrats to Mrs. Lehrke's senior ACT, who will be enjoying their rootbeer float prizes next week!

Learning the numbers 1-100 in Spanish can be tough, but Monday's Turkey BINGO helped make the experience a little sweeter. Addalyn's two-time victory made her the "número uno" envy of her classmates.

Ms. Prendergast's classes have been full of excitement and laughs lately as Speech students have shown their creativity by writing and starring in commercials for products of their own creation. Meanwhile, senior English students demonstrated the three levels of reading and their creativity while working on the play MacBeth.

Are you a junior/senior who is planning on attending a university or technical school? Did you know if you meet certain requirements, you could take college courses now for a greatly reduced price? Dual credit registration is open now for 2nd semester! Planning on going to college in South Dakota?

October 1st through November 30th is the Free College Access Campaign for the state of South Dakota. During this time, you can apply to any of the six board of regent universities or South Dakota technical schools for free! Also, a reminder that seniors are allowed two exempt days for college visits. Please work with Mrs. Filipek to get the proper paperwork for those days to be exempt!

Stay caught up with your homework and grades by participating in Homework Help every Thursday in the SHS library from 3:30-5:00 pm. Come for a quiet space to work and extra support from teachers.

***Starting November 28th, Homework Help will be offered both Tuesdays and Thursdays until the end of first semester.***
