HE IS RISEN!
Dear Families,
As we move through this week, there is a beautiful sense of renewal in the air. For our Catholic community, we are entering the heart of the liturgical year as we celebrate Easter Sunday—the joyful resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Easter is a powerful reminder that light follows darkness and that new life is always possible. We see this reflected not only in our faith but in the world around us as the earth wakes up for spring. In our classrooms, we are celebrating this same spirit of "new beginnings" by highlighting our students' growth, their kindness toward one another, and their burgeoning talents.
Whether your family is attending Mass together, gathering for a traditional meal, or simply enjoying the first blooms of the season, we hope this weekend is a time of profound peace and hope for you all.
"He is not here; he has risen!" — Matthew 28:6 Let us carry the joy of the Resurrection into our daily lives by being a source of light for others.

CHALK THIS ONE UP TO: HOW COOL IS THAT!!!???
IF YOU HAVE BEEN PAYING ATTENTION TO THE NEWS TODAY...
Today is a historic day for space exploration. As of this afternoon, the Artemis II mission is currently in its final countdown for a scheduled liftoff.
The "Small" Detail: Proximity Operations
While most people focus on the trip to the Moon, a critical "small" detail of today’s flight happens shortly after reaching orbit. Before heading to the Moon, the crew will use their Orion spacecraft to perform "proximity operations" with the spent ICPS (Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage).
The astronauts will manually pilot Orion to approach and move around the rocket stage. This isn't just for show; it’s a vital test of the spacecraft's handling and manual piloting systems that will be used for future dockings with the Lunar Gateway and landing modules.
This mission marks the first time humans have left low-Earth orbit since Apollo 17 in 1972.
Reid Wiseman (Commander): NASA veteran leading the flight.
Victor Glover (Pilot): The first person of color to leave Earth orbit.
Christina Koch (Mission Specialist): The first woman to travel to the vicinity of the Moon.
Jeremy Hansen (Mission Specialist): The first non-American (Canadian Space Agency) to go to the Moon.
What does this mean for our school?
Mr. Chris Berry,
Before coming here to HCS, he was one of (if not THE) main engineer and designer of the trajectory of the mission. Yes, everyone: He is a rocket scientist!!
