PTO Fall Festivial and Vine Street PEAK Night - Thursday, October 9 5:30-6:30 pm (raindate Thursday, October 16)

MTYA/NWEA State Assessments for Grade 3 - Tuesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 16 starting at 9:15 am

Early Release Day - Wednesday, October 15 - dismissal at noon (students will be provided lunch before they are dismissed)

PBIS Schoolwide Celebration - Thursday, October 23 from 1:00-2:30 pm

Donate a Pumpkin For PBIS Celebration 🎃

Donations are needed for classroom pumpkins. We would like to have 2 pumpkins per classroom if possible (15 classrooms) for our PBIS Schoolwide Celebration on October 23. If you can help by donating a pumpkin, please let us know!

Vine Shine Kindness Days

The last Monday of every month Vine Street will be celebrating kindness with a Vine Shine Kindness Day! Staff and students are encourgaged to promote kindess by wearing messages of kindness, completing acts of kindess, and sharing kind words with friends and family. The world is a better place with more kindness! 💞

Portland Pie Fundraiser 🍕

Order any time on October 14th and mention Vine Street PTO and a percentage of your order will go to the PTO to support Vine Street!

PTO Annual Pie Sale 🍛

The annual PTO Pie Sale will be Monday, November 24 & Tuesday, November 25. This Pie (&/or bake goods) Sale not only helps you provided a wonderful pie or yummy baked goods for your Thanksgiving dinner, it also support the students and teachers of Vine Street School. If you are willing to donate a pie or other baked goods for this sale, please reach out to the Vine Street PTO by emailing Nick and Audrey at vinestreetelempto@gmail.com.

Fall Festival 🍁🍂

Come join us Thursday, October 9th from 5:30-6:30 pm for games, cocoa and cidar, donuts, a cake walk and a PEAK Night Story Walk! The PTO Costume Closet will be available for students in need of a costume for Halloween. If you have any gently used, family friendly costumes (nothing scary and no weapons) you would like to donate, drop them off to the school. *Please note no costumes should be worn to, during, or from this event.

Chronic Absenteeism - Did You Know?

Chronic absenteeism occurs when a student misses 10% of the days that they are enrolled in school. In Bangor, for a student attending the entire school year, chronic absenteeism would be 17 days or an average of approximately two days per month. Chronic absenteeism is based on total absences - both excused and unexcused. We look forward to meeting our school goal of 95% attendance by June 2025!
