We are getting closer to the end of the school year which means grades are becoming more important than ever. LISD requires all middle school students to make a 70 or high in at least three of the core subjects to be promoted to the next grade level. All students must pass both ELA AND Math to be eligible for promotion to the next grade level. Any student who fails must attend summer school at the parent’s expense. Counselors are monitoring grades closely and having conversations with students about grades.
