The PULSE of Dunbar
October Newsletter
Message from Mrs. Bryant
Hi Dunbar Families,
Thank you for your partnership and support during a wonderful month of September at Dunbar Elementary Magnet School. Our students worked incredibly hard to demonstrate their PULSE all month long, and we are proud of the growth, effort, and positive attitudes we have seen throughout our school.
As we move into October, we ask for your continued support in reinforcing our school expectations:
- Be Respectful
- Be Responsible
- Be Safe
When students consistently practice these expectations at school and at home, it helps create a welcoming, positive learning environment where all children can thrive.
This month, students will participate in their first set of Quarterly Monitoring Tests (QMTs) in Science, Math, and Reading. Please encourage your child to work hard, stay focused, and do their very best. We are confident that their effort and perseverance will help them be successful.
We also want to remind families about our Beanstack Reading Challenge. Students are encouraged to read every day and record their reading minutes in Beanstack. Daily reading strengthens literacy skills, builds vocabulary, and fosters a lifelong love of learning. We look forward to celebrating our readers and their accomplishments throughout the challenge.
Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and school community. Together, we are making Dunbar a great place to learn, grow, and succeed.
Your Proud Principal,
Mrs. Bryant
